Logo and illustrations for Jot, our design agency at Edinburgh College of Art. We created Jot from the idea that all great design starts from ideas quickly jotted down. We wanted to focus on producing print materials including branding, packaging and promotional materials, with a focus on the local community. Our identity therefore revolves around this concept of 'jotting' ideas down, resulting in a handwritten look and feel. The logo created by hand, then scanned into Illustrator. I then created individual illustrations of each of the team members in the same hand-drawn style, including a red aspect to each image, uniting the illustrations while also showing our individual quirks. From here the identity was adapted to business cards and letterheads.
